Palm Springs is a wonderful place for getting naked. We’ve been to two of the clothing-optional resorts in Palm Springs, but there are also others to enjoy as well.

Some of the resorts are for couples looking to experience the lifestyle, others are for nudists, and some cater to the LGBTQ+ community.

Nude hotels in Palm Springs are a great place to unwind, feel some warm desert sun on your skin and connect with like-minded people.

Here are the best clothing-optional resorts we could find in Palm Springs.

Desert Sun Nudist Resort

We’ve been to Desert Sun clothing-optional resort before and love the peace and quiet here. This resort is for nudists, not swingers, but the people are definitely friendly.

This quiet oasis in the heart of Palm Springs offers two swimming pools, a hot tub, citrus trees, a boutique hotel, a restaurant and a bar (that are only open certain days of the week).

What we like about this clothing optional resort is that it’s just a short drive from downtown Palm Springs, where you can go out to eat and explore the nightlife.

We have found that most of the people at Desert Sun are older, but maybe we didn’t visit on the right day. This resort is probably best when it’s very warm out but not too hot, in the spring or fall months.

You can either purchase a day pass or a hotel room to visit this nude hotel in Palm Springs.

Sea Mountain Clothing Optional Resort

Sea Mountain is the second nudist resort in the Palm Springs area that we’ve visited, and it’s more for swingers or people curious about the lifestyle. You don’t have to partake in any particular behavior here, and you’ll find the crowed to be warm, friendly and ready to party.

Sea Mountain is actually located in Desert Hot Springs and has mineral water pools and a jacuzzi. There’s also a central “Playroom” where there’s dancing and a stripper pole, a sauna, and a courtyard surrounded by upscale hotel rooms.

This nude resort in Palm Springs doesn’t have a restaurant, but offers free well drinks and sometimes a few snacks. You can also order delivery from restaurants and either eat outside or in your room.

Sea Mountain offers either a day or night pass, or you can spend the night in one of the hotel rooms, which are a little pricey.

Desert Paradise Gay Clothing Optional Resort

Desert Paradise Gay Men’s Resort is one of the most popular clothing-optional resorts in Palm Springs.

This nude hotel in Palm Springs offers a wide range of amenities, including a heated pool, hot tub, dry sauna and steam room. There’s even an outdoor massage area, outdoor garden shower and two-man hammock under the garden palm trees. You’ll also enjoy stunning mountain views from this gay clothing optional resort’s grounds.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. This is the perfect place for men to relax and unwind, mingle and hang out in the swimming pool.

The resort is also located close to many of Palm Springs’ top attractions, including hiking trails, golf courses, and shopping centers.

Tuscany Manor Clothing Optional Lifestyle Resort

If you’re a couple or a single looking to have some fun in the “lifestyle” without spending tons of money, you might want to check out Tuscany Manor in Palm Springs.

We haven’t partied here but we did walk through on a tour, and personally found the resort to be a little run down. However, this is the cheapest lifestyle-type clothing optional resort in Palm Springs, so a great way to get your feet wet without spending too much money.

Located in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from downtown Palm Springs, this resort offers seclusion and privacy while still being close to all the action.

With apartment-style suites featuring fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, and living rooms, you’ll feel right at home.

Lounge by the outdoor pool, soak in the spa tub, or grill up some food on the barbecue. Whether you’re a couple or a single traveler over 21, Tuscany Manor is the perfect place to unwind and relax in the beautiful desert scenery.

We did notice that there were stunning mountain views from Tuscany Manor’s courtyard, a definite plus.

Many people we’ve spoken with have heard good things about Exotic Dreams in Palm Springs, which is another lifestyle resort like Sea Mountain and Tuscany Manor.

While we haven’t visited this resort at night, we did go walk around during the day.

It features several different pool and hot tub areas as you wind your way through the resort, and there’s also a “sexy maze” with various beds and bondage-type accessories.

Be aware that unlike Sea Mountain, single men are allowed in this clothing-optional hotel in Palm Springs.

This resort has 40 rooms spread throughout the property – there are 9 customized and unique “room types” so you can find the perfect fit.

You can either stay in one of the rooms or just purchase a night pass to experience the sexy party.

Santiago Resort Gay Clothing Optional Retreat

Santiago Resort is a luxury clothing-optional gay men’s resort with 23 rooms and suites, each uniquely decorated with a modern twist, with private patios or balconies.

Santiago resort is a wonderful place to relax and unwind from the hubbub of city life. You can take a swim in the large saline pool, soak in the saline hot tub, and sit beneath the outdoor mist cooling system. There are plenty of lounge chairs for sunbathing and plush towels offered by the resort.

Enjoy breathtaking mountain views from the outdoor courtyard and from some of the rooms at this beautiful resort for gay men.

Another plus is that Santiago Resort is also conveniently located just a short walk from downtown Palm Springs, where you can explore a variety of restaurants, shops, and entertainment options.

Things to Bring to a Clothing Optional Resort in Palm Springs

If you are planning a trip to one of the many clothing optional resorts in Palm Springs, it is important to pack appropriately. Here are some essential items to bring:

  • Sunscreen – With the hot desert sun beating down, it’s important to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Bring plenty of sunscreen with a high SPF rating.
  • Hat – A wide-brimmed hat will provide extra protection from the sun and keep you cool.
  • Sunglasses – Protect your eyes from the bright sun with a pair of sunglasses.
  • Towels – Some clothing optional resorts require guests to bring their own towels for use at the pool and hot tub. Or, some offer towels that you can rent. Sea Mountain Inn offers guests comp
  • Comfortable shoes – With all the walking you’ll be doing around the resort, bring a pair of comfortable shoes to wear.

Tips for First-Time Visitors to Clothing Optional Resorts in Palm Springs

Visiting a clothing-optional resort for the first time can be an exciting and nerve-wracking experience. Here are a few tips to help make your first visit to a clothing-optional resort in Palm Springs a comfortable and enjoyable one:

  • Do your research: Before booking your stay, research the resort and read reviews from previous guests to get an idea of what to expect.
  • Take a tour: If you’re feeling unsure about being nude around others, take a tour of the resort before booking your stay. This will give you an idea of the atmosphere and help you feel more comfortable. We recently did this at three nude resorts in Palm Springs with no problem.
  • Respect others’ boundaries: Just because the resort is clothing-optional doesn’t mean everyone will be nude all the time. Respect others’ boundaries and don’t pressure anyone to remove their clothing.
  • Bring a towel: Most clothing-optional resorts require guests to sit on a towel when using shared spaces like loungers or chairs. We like having our own towels at these resorts but you can often either rent one, or they’ll give you one for free.
  • Stay hydrated: Palm Springs can get hot, especially if you’re spending time outside. Make sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
  • Be yourself: Remember that everyone at the resort is there to relax and have a good time. Don’t be afraid to be yourself and enjoy the experience. We’ve met so many cool people at nude resorts because when people take off their clothes, they seem to be more friendly.

We hope you’ve enjoyed our list of clothing optional resorts in Palm Springs. I hope you have a good time, and let me know if you have any questions in the comments below.
